Grimsley Officer’s Saddle

Though the McClellan saddle had become the regulation saddle for the U.S. Army before the war started, many in the western theater still preferred the style of saddle made by Thornton Grimsley in St. Louis. Grimsley’s design was even copied and used by the Confederate army.
